Cyclone Gabrielle Fundraiser

25 Feb 2023 — 4 Mar 2023

FUNDRAISER FOR CYCLONE GABRIELLE

Hawke’s Bay has experienced widespread devastation following Cyclone Gabrielle. The affects on our people, shelter, livelihoods and land is far reaching.

Two artists from Hawke’s Bay Martin Poppelwell and Dick Frizzell have gifted two limited edition screenprints from their collaboration ‘The Sun is in the Window’.

100% of the proceeds will be donated. There are many worthy groups accepting donations, we have decided to donate to a group we have worked with before, the Hawke’s Bay Foundation, a registered charitable trust (CC28009). You can read about them here. Their Foundation Executive Officer Amy Bowkett experienced the cyclone in a very direct way, you can read her story here

Megan Poppelwell from SPA_CE will use the website platform as a way of running a ‘Tender’ type bidding for the artwork. The bidding opens Saturday, February 25th at 5pm and the last day to submit a bid is Saturday, March 4th @ 5pm. The two higest bids will be sucessful in each owning one of the two screenprints on offer, ie each bid is for one artwork.

To make a bid go to the artwork page linked below and click on ‘enqire about this work’. This will generate an email to Megan at SPA_CE. Within the body of the email please state you name and contact details and the single bid, minimum bid or reserve is $1000, ie:
