SURVIVAL KIT (TERRA)

The thinking for this show was discussed late last year as an idea to check what the term ‘Survival Kit’ could mean. More a choreographic enquiry that touches our personal need to do certain things in order to get through the days and therefore ‘time’ that life presents. So some lightly pronged questions and thought in the form of marks, materials and ritual. Less a list of ‘things’, that one needs in what would be described as ‘compromised circumstance’.

Contextually this is lodged in the artist’s practices, each of which are largely dependent on the sensory dimensions of materials.

Each artist brings their own unique visual and textual approach to this platform, resembling settings from absurdist theatre and mutterings of the mind - navigating a human diaristic idea. What is making things to do and to do for.
