We are pleased to present our second solo show with Tom Mackie at SPA_CE.

My work continues to weave together both Painting & Sculpture, Craft & Fine Art, Waste & Treasured Objects. Combining often overlooked material (drop cloth / unprimed canvas) with hand crafted woodwork.

‘To Raise, Or Fold’ prompts viewers to examine relationships between past & present, challenging the High / Low, Craft / Art divide.

An introduction of Artist made free standing ‘Support’ sculptures sit within the gallery, traditionally acting as a object to elevate an artwork to the eye of viewer ‘Plinth’ becomes an object of desire. Flipping traditional hierarchy on its head.
